February 2017: Pippa Forrest

Pippa joined our after-school class at Grangefield School at the start of the year. She is the only Year 1  in the group and despite being the youngest, she hasn't been discouraged. In fact, quite the opposite!

Pippa is always smiling throughout every lesson. She's a very polite young girl,  asks questions and is very enthusiastic. Pippa has a natural learning style, her catching and throwing skills developed quickly, both are valuable assets for tennis.

For those of you with children at Grangefield (and who live in the area!) you will be aware the school are having lots of building work done. Not an ideal environment to be coaching in but to be honest it hasn't been a problem. The class as a group are lovely to teach so for Pippa to standout is something for her to be proud of! Her level of focus in a distracting environment is amazing and this has helped her progress with each shot we have worked on.

Being a lefty she has an advantage that if she continues to learn and develop she will be a top player when she's older!

Congratulations Pippa!
