Ruby started tennis with us a tots player before other commitments clashed meaning she had a short break but we returned in 2019 when we added lessons at Prestbury Tennis Club. To be honest it was like she had never been away!
Ruby is a quiet, polite and competitive member of our mini red classes. She has been attending our performance lessons along with her friend Isla as well as making the occasional Saturday lesson at Prestbury. Attending on a regular basis has really helped her to improve her tennis quickly and in particular has helped her serve. Ruby is beginning to compete which is helping her confidence and improving her knowledge of the sport. Matchplay is so important in the learning process and can be very daunting for young children but she has a great mindset and maturity that has helped her do very well so far.
Ruby will continue to work on all aspects of her game as she approaches the transition to orange ball tennis. In particular, we are currently working on her groundstrokes and tactical knowledge.
