Ash Barty recently announced she was retiring from tennis. The Australian was the current world number 1 after a successful period where she claimed the Australian open title to go with her Wimbledon (2021) and French open titles (2019). At only 5’5” she was a small player but had an aggressive game to match the very best. Although winning is the aim of the game her quote reminds us to not let defeats linger in our mind.
