Despite the second lockdown closing tennis clubs and courts we were very grateful that sport in education could continue and that Bishops Cleeve Primary Academy allowed us to continue the after school club for their Year 1 students.
One of those students, Freddie, has been a little superstar! He is a lovely boy to teach and has a great learning style for such a young age. A lot quieter than the other students; he does his talking with his tennis.
He has improved greatly this last month as the class has been learning the different ways to strike the ball. He's got great coordination skills and this helps him with his racket skills and control. He's also improved his throwing accuracy and receiving skills through catching the ball and 'floor tennis'.
We look forward to returning in January and hope to see Freddie and his classmates return.
